From emergency aid to Actibox
Actibox is not an idea that came from the drawing board, but a solution that arose from years of experience in communication, project management, and emergency services.
Founder Sven combined his background as a communication expert and project manager with a solid track record in the world of e-commerce and safety training. For years, he has been active in the sector himself:
- as an organizer of large-scale events and fairs
- as a prevention advisor level 3
- as a paramedic-ambulance worker 112 (Mechelen and Antwerp regions)
- as a Red Cross first aid worker at large-scale events
- and above all, as a first aid and fire prevention instructor for companies, fire departments, police, and ambulance services in Antwerp, Brussels, and Flemish Brabant
The reality of the workplace
Anyone who takes a first aid training course often receives 15 hours of basic training and 4 hours of refresher training per year. After that, they are expected to react correctly in any possible emergency. In practice, however, we see something different:
- Uncertainty among novice first responders
- Forgotten steps among experienced first responders, especially in rare or stressful situations
- Pressure to "have the manual in your head" while there is no time to browse or look things up
Even the most experienced first responder can hesitate at that one crucial moment. And apps? They are slow, dependent on your phone, and it often remains unhygienic to use your personal phone in emergencies.
The call for assistance
During training sessions, CPR courses, and practical exercises, the same question kept coming back:
"Heb je iets op papier voor ons, waar we eventueel even op kunnen spieken als we het even niet meer weten door de stress?"
Het antwoord is nu ja.
Actibox werd ontworpen als een fysiek, snel toegangkelijk hulpmiddel voor EHBO op de werkvloer.
Gebaseerd op de meest recente EHBO-richtlijnen van de Europese Reanimatieraad (ERC) en het Rode Kruis.-
